Professional Chainsaw Carvers     Dayton Scoggins and Kenny Scoggins

​Chris Evans started chainsaw carving two years ago. He was inspired by his best friend Kenny Scoggins to change careers and become a chainsaw artist. Being mentored by Kenny and Dayton, Chris has become a fine chainsaw carver, in his own right. He carves for Artistry In Wood at many of their various fairs and events. You soon will see him at chainsaw competitons, which he is looking forward to be carving in. He is from Sandersville, Mississippi and lives with his wife Jenna and their daughter.

​Kenny Scoggins has been carving for twelve years. He has carved throughout the United States at various events and chainsaw competitions. In May 2015 he became an international carver. He along with his dad were on the six man USA speed carve team at the Huskycup World Cup Chainsaw competition in Mulda, Germany. He likes to carve wildlife and is known for his owls, bears, and fish. His Indian and Wizard faces are also a favorite among his customers. Kenny was born and raised in Mississippi. He lives with his wife Kacie and their two children. Kenny is a member of the Mississippi Arts Commission as a Roster Artist.

​Dayton Scoggins is recognized as a world class chainsaw artist. His art is exhibited in both private and public collections in every state and in several countries. He has attended many invitational only competitions all over the world and has won or placed in them. Dayton was born and raised in Mississippi, he lives in Sandersville, Ms with his wife and business partner Michelle. Dayton is a member of the Craftsmens Guild of Mississippi and he is also a member of the Mississippi Arts Commission as a Roster Artist.
